Limitations
Specification
- Only EN 1994‑1‑1:2004 and AS/NZS 2327:2017 are supported as composite design codes.
- Steel grades must be selected only from the chosen composite design code.
Materials
- Composite beams can only be specified as made of steel.
Properties
- Only STD I, STD GI, and catalogue I sections are supported for composite members.
- Tapered sections are not supported.
- Shear studs must be present.
- Stud free zones (left or right) cannot be defined.
- Automatic shear‑stud spacing is not available.
- Reinforcement position cannot be defined for shear stud positioning.
- Only solid and decking slab types are supported.
- The slab is required to be of uniform thickness over its entire surface.
Design
- Only Mesh Type A is permitted for 2D‑member mesh reinforcement.
- Transverse reinforcement is not supported.
Members
- Composite members must be formed using exactly two nodes.
- Only rectangular and circular web openings are supported.
- Member axes and slab edges must align.
Loading
- Loads causing minor‑axis effects are not supported.
- User‑defined safety factors for loading in the design task are not allowed.
- Point restraints at construction or final stage cannot be set in GSA. ``
