Add standard sections

This allows creation of a group of sections from standard shapes which are added to the section library.

Member type & material

Depending on the context the member type can be preset and a material grade is then chosen for the section. An analysis material can be assigned or the option to derive properties from the grade can be selected.

Section & dimensions

This only provide a limited number of section types - those most commonly used: rectangular, circular, tee and I sections.

The dimensions required change depending on the chosen profile. The dimensions are specified as lists, so the depth can be for example '400 500 600' for discrete sizes or '400 to 600 step 50' for ranges.

Name

Normally each section should be assigned a unique name, so the name specified is a template that can be expanded for the individual sections.

<g> – material grade

<t> – member type

<d> – section description

<s> - section number

So for example for a concrete section with a grade C40/50 and a rectangular profile 400 × 400 and a name 'Concrete <g> <d>' would result in a name 'Concrete C40/50 STD R 400 400'.
