Shear Stud Properties

Shear stud properties are used to generate composite member design tasks via the GSA-Compos iteration.

Definition

Name

The name is only used as a convenient way of identifying a shear stud property.

Standard or non-standard

Shear studs can be standard or non-standard. In the instance non-standard is selected, diameter, height and characteristic strength need to be defined.

Steel grade

This determines the stud material.

Shear stud spacing

This allows the definition of stud groups: number of studs per row, number of rows and group spacing.

Welded through the profiled steel sheeting

Studs welded through the profiled steel sheeting. This option is only available for EN 1994-1-1:2004 design.

Use NCCI limits on minimum percentag of interaction

If this option is selected, NCCI PN002a minimum interaction rules will be applied. If the condition framed in this document does not satisfy EN 1994-1-1:2004, minimum partial interaction rules will be applied. This option is only available for EN 1994-1-1:2004 design.
