AdSec 10.1 Release Notes

Build 10.1.0

What's new?

  • ULS / SLS differentiation: Analysis tasks are now explicitly defined as ULS or SLS, providing clearer separation of design checks and more focused results and reporting.

  • Analysis task definition toolbar: A new toolbar gives quick access to key analysis controls, including limit state, input type, load term, and creep coefficient.

  • Consolidated rich outputs: Outputs such as neutral axis position and serviceability deformation are now available directly in the main results table.

  • Stress–strain results in tables: Maximum and minimum stresses and strains are now reported in the main results table for faster review.

  • Results envelope display: Minimum and maximum result envelopes are now shown beneath the main table, helping you quickly identify governing values.

  • Moment–Stiffness–Curvature chart: Moment–Stiffness and Moment–Curvature charts have been combined into a single, unified view.

New and improved functionality

  • Analysis tasks now clearly record whether results relate to ULS, SLS, or both. [ADSEC-2353]
  • Analysis task setup has been simplified and made more consistent. [ADSEC-2362]
  • Added a selector to switch between ULS, SLS, and combined results. [ADSEC-2388]
  • Added additional standard section shapes for faster model setup. [ADSEC-2393]
  • Improved layout and clarity of the Section Analysis results table. [ADSEC-2436]
  • Users can now choose which outputs are shown in the main results table. [ADSEC-2472]
  • Min/max stress and strain results can now be displayed in the main table. [ADSEC-2473]
  • SLS status is now clearly shown as uncracked, cracked, or overloaded. [ADSEC-2474]
  • Added an SLS solved‑status indicator to results tables to replace the previous 'cracked?' status. [ADSEC-2485]
  • Charts have been consolidated into a clearer, more streamlined charts view. [ADSEC-2497]
  • Users notes can now be stored on a task basis and be expanded for easier reading. [ADSEC-2639]

Usability and UI improvements

  • Improved guidance and explanations around utilisation checks. [ADSEC-2098]
  • The sign‑convention warning is now less intrusive and can be dismissed. [ADSEC-2347]

  • Added a direct link to Tutorials within the navigation pane. [ADSEC-2548]
  • Added clearer explanatory notes to table column headers. [ADSEC-2563]
  • Simplified creep input to make it easier to understand and use. [ADSEC-2598]
  • Table headers now use engineering symbols. [ADSEC-2667]
  • User notes now display a character count and limit. [ADSEC-2721]

Performance and behaviour

  • SLS analysis now skips unnecessary ULS calculations, improving performance. [ADSEC-2491]
  • Improved behaviour and clarity when switching between load and deformation inputs. [ADSEC-2558]
