Getting started
Overview
AdSec enables engineers to analyse RC and composite structural sections under load or deformation. With AdSec you can:
- Define concrete, composite, and compound sections, including reinforcement and FRP.
- Analyse section behaviour under axial force and biaxial bending at serviceability and ultimate limit states, short or long-term.
- Review capacities and utilisations to assess section performance against design code requirements.
After creating a section, you can modify geometry, materials, reinforcement, and analysis settings, and review results through tabular and graphical outputs. The data required will depend on the type of section and analysis being performed.
How to use this guide
This documentation is divided into the following sections:
- Tutorials: Step-by-step guides covering the basics of using AdSec.
- References: Detailed information on AdSec features, inputs, and outputs.
- Theory: Explanations of the engineering principles and assumptions underlying AdSec calculations.
Contents
The Tutorials section provides guided workflows for common AdSec tasks, such as defining sections, setting up analysis tasks, and interpreting results.
